SAUCE with that, mate? Place an order at Raymond Terrace's new drive-through pie shop and this could be the new catchcry heard at Heatherbrae's Pies, the bakery pitting the humble Aussie meat pie against McDonald's and Colonel Sanders.
Heatherbrae's Pies, on the Pacific Highway, looks set to put the suburb on the map, with its drive-through pie shop believed to be the first of its kind in NSW.
Heatherbrae's Pies opened two months ago.
It offers a mouth-watering selection of the Australian fare, from the traditional steak mince pie to the more contemporary cheese and bacon variation.
Proprietor Russell Cox said many small food retailers were being left behind.
`For the first time an Australian business is striving to give back a traditional Aussie cuisine to the community,' he said.
Member for Paterson Bob Horne and Port Stephens MP John Bartlett will open Heatherbrae's Pies officially this weekend.
